Kate Beach is the Chief Financial Officer at CareerWise. She joined CareerWise in early 2017 and has more than 20 years of experience in Accounting and Finance roles. As the CFO, Kate serves as a cornerstone member of the executive team, finance committee leader, and liaison for the Board of Directors. Kate guides CareerWise on all matters relating to finance and development, providing direction into long-term strategy and scaling for future growth. Kate loves producing accurate financial statements and analyzing key data elements to inform leadership decisions that drive our youth apprenticeship program!

Prior to CareerWise, Kate was the Director of Accounting, Budgeting and Financial Reporting for Boston Medical Center (BMC) – Faculty Practice Foundation. At BMC, the largest safety net hospital in New England, Kate was responsible for the development of monthly financial statements, creation of annual forecasts and budgets, compliance with annual tax and audit filings and biweekly financial presentations to the Finance Committee. Previously, she worked for Ernst & Young, LLP as a Manager in the Risk Advisory Services group. Kate is a Certified Fraud Examiner, and is an active member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.  Kate joined CareerWise while she and her family spent 3 great years in Denver, they now reside in Burlington, VT. Kate can often be found behind the pages of a great book, and loves spending time with her husband and children!
