Automotive Technician

Automotive Technicians diagnose the causes of a wide variety of problems with vehicles and perform necessary repairs. Automotive Technicians have a deep knowledge of the various systems within a car or truck and can reference manuals and technical drawings in order to perform repairs. Automotive Technicians are responsible for safely and efficiently operating tools, keeping tools in proper working order, and efficiently producing repairs that meet quality standards.

Ideal Candidate

You enjoy (or think you might enjoy) being in the garage fixing cars.
It makes you happy to finish a lot of tasks in each day. You would rather do five small homework assignments than one big project.
Sitting at a desk all day is your worst nightmare. You do best when you’re up and moving around.
You could not wait to get your driver’s license.
You’re good with your hands and can easily take things apart and put them back together.
You don’t mind getting your hands dirty.
