Kelsey Longmuir is an experienced educator who has been working to reframe what is possible in public education since 2011. After graduating from Occidental College in Los Angeles, Kelsey moved to Denver and began her teaching career in a 7th grade language arts classroom. After two years of learning life lessons from 12-year-olds, Kelsey moved to KIPP Denver Collegiate High School in southwest Denver to create and teach a new curriculum focused around preparing students for the analytical writing demands of college. Most recently, Kelsey worked as a high school English curriculum specialist for Denver Public Schools and conducted policy research for a member of the Colorado House of Representatives. In her free time, Kelsey enjoys cross- country skiing, hiking, and reading.
