Bailey Gent joined CareerWise Colorado, as a Customer Success Specialist, managing relationships between Information Technology business partners and their high school apprentices. Bailey has since transitioned into the Training Specialist role at CareerWise, developing and facilitating training for apprentices and supervisors.
Before coming to CareerWise, Bailey worked throughout Central and South America, the Caribbean, across East and West Africa, and in Southeast Asia in global peacebuilding and sustainability efforts focused on social entrepreneurship and women’s economic development. During this time, Bailey also traveled alongside The Unreasonable Institute, BeadforLife, Fulbright, The United Nations Association, The Opus Prize, and other organizations facilitating women’s business training around the world. Domestically, Bailey worked to develop the Anderson College of Business Innovation Incubator and Innovation Challenge for community members to build and be coached in running sustainable start-ups. Bailey also worked with organizations including Academic Search and Family Promise of Juneau in diversity and inclusivity consulting in an effort to mitigate systemic biases in the organization’s work. Bailey is passionate about education and developing a methodology for education models that transform communities. In these efforts, Bailey has worked with Florence Crittenton, Junior Achievement, PeaceJam Rocky Mountain, and other organizations supporting alternative education models.
Bailey earned a B.A. from Regis University in Peace & Justice Studies and a B.S. from the Anderson College of Business in Business Administration. Bailey is a Colorado native and loves having the Rocky Mountains as her home base and playground. In her free time, Bailey teaches yoga, spearheads empowerment efforts for young women, and continues traveling and exploring beautiful corners of the world.
